SKNVibes’ Knock Shore Night to light up Black San Festival

By: Cherisse M. Sutton-Jeffers, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – ALL roads lead to the Sandy Point Hard Court on Saturday night (Apr. 23) as that town’s fever-pitch community festival, Black San Bang-A-Lang, continues with a SKNVibes-sponsored concert dubbed ‘Knockshore Night’.

Musical entertainment will be provided by the Nu Vybes Band International, the recently reunited Lightz Out Band; Small Axe Band, known as the sweetest band in the land; and the ‘Under The Sea’ originators - Grand Masters Band.

In addition to the bands, patrons will be entertained by the Federation’s top DJs, Triple S-Sweet Sister Sensia, Mixklusiv International, Xtortion, Chalice Sound and Tombstone International.

A variety of talents will also be on display, raging from dancehall to R&B and hip-hop by artistes such as C- Money, Nicha B, Infamus, S.M.I, Footsy, Silk, I.T.Y.C, Artikal, Hotta Lyrics and Dagah; while the NG Steppers will hit the stage and add some spice to the event with some of their new dance moves.

According to one of the organisers, the concert is one of the special highlights of the festival and it is packed with an abundance of entertainment to showcase local talent, adding that “it would be like a mini music festival”.

Tickets for entrance to the SKNVibes Knockshore Night cost $35 and, patrons without one will have to pay $5 more at the gate. Patrons will be issued ‘glow in the dark bracelets’ upon entry.

Following the concert, the inaugural festival will continue on Sunday at 6:00 p.m. with the G2 Miss Black San Swim Suit Pageant at 6:00 p.m.

Black San Bang-A-Lang is the brainchild of a group of young people who call themselves Sandy Pointers Inspiring Real Improvement Throughout (SPIRIT), and the community festival will end on Monday (Apr. 25) with J’Ouvert early in the morning and Parade later in the day.
