TEMPO Winner visits St. Kitts; shares a moment with LIMElight Winners

LIME’s Jermaine Jeffers accepts LIMElight award from TEMPO Winner Lucy
LIME Press Release

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS: In a welcome ceremony befitting a celebrity, St. Lucia’s Lucy Aurelien, the winner of the Tempo Caribbean Essay Competition was formally received in the twin island paradise of St. Kitts & Nevis.  A local entourage made up of Tourism Officials, Corporate Sponsors and cultural artistes greeted her at the R L Bradshaw International Airport.

That was her first encounter with LIME’s General Manager, Mr David Lake who welcomed her with a gift of a Blackberry Torch and a goody bag made up of other branded gift items.  At the airport welcome, GM Lake told the winner that she was lucky to have chosen St. Kitts.

“You have chosen the best island for your prize trip and LIME is likewise happy to complete the memories by presenting you with these items, not the least of which is a blackberry torch,” he announced.

The excited Restaurant Manager accepted the gift bag with thanks and promised to continue using the services of LIME as her provider of choice in the Caribbean.

Lunch was the next item on the packed afternoon itinerary following which Ms Aurelien made a stop at LIME’s mobile flagship store. There, both she and TEMPO’s CEO, Mr Frederick Morton officiated in a short presentation ceremony to the winners of the LIMElight Awards.

Presenting to the first winner Lester Liburd, Mr Morton said he was happy that LIME recognised its internal customers as it did its external.  “This is an interesting coincidence as our TEMPO Essay winner was also recently promoted to a Restaurant Manager in St. Lucia.  It means that both companies acknowledge the hard work of their staff and this augurs well for staff morale,” he concluded.

Mr Liburd’s nomination was a salute to his efficiency and single-handed demonstration of going beyond the call of duty to assist LIME’s medical student customers in Nevis.

The lady of the moment, Lucy Aurelien was given the honour of presenting to LIME’s Jermaine Jeffers, a colleague in the Accounts Department. Jermaine’s proactive work ensured the early submission of the FDC pack working beyond the call of duty to complete the process.

One winner to the other, Lucy congratulated Jermaine and encouraged her to keep performing at a high standard. “My essay was of a high standard and it got me to your beautiful country,” she said.
