TORONTO Canada, April 27th 2011 - Toronto’s May Long-Weekend options just got a little more interesting. For starters, Edwin Yearwood will be in town! In one night (Sunday May, 22, 2011) all in one venue we’ll experience, the official debut of a *New* presenting Mas band, tantalizing 2011 Mas runway and an A-list selection of Caribbean performances. Without a doubt…The Barbados Ambassadors of Canada (BAC) have stirred the right ingredients to pull off an electrifying event.
Amidst plans to launch Spirits Of The Caribbean - A Mas collection, whispered to be rivaled by the best of them, BAC has been feverishly finalizing specs that will tie the upcoming band launch into a massive May Long-Weekend concert. Sourcing the crème de la crème of Caribbean entertainment, Mr. Edwin Yearwood has been (pleasantly) confirmed as an exclusive guest performer for ‘one night ,one venue’. A chart topping artist, having single handedly filled Kool Haus (nightclub) to its capacity last Fall, it seems safe to say, tickets for the Spirits Of The Caribbean launch will sell fast.
To sweeten the pot, as if an anticipated new Mas collection and Edwin were not enough, BAC has secured live performances from Kerian Piper (St. Lucia), Slama Cutter (Toronto/Trinidad), internationally renowned Panman Jerry as well as Toronto’s own Caribbean Folk Performers.
Not a launch to spend too much time mulling over… $20 Early Bird tickets were 50% sold in its first weekend. Regular tickets are available for $30 (advance) and more expected at the door.
