ROAD TOWN, Tortola, BVI - Senior Magistrate Valerie Stephens ordered the warrant after the woman failed to turn up for her trial last week.

Ms. Vanterpool’s dilemma began on January 2, 2009. She is facing four charges:  threatening language, being armed with an offensive weapon, criminal trespass and criminal damage.

The defendant had denied any wrongdoing.

Court records reveal that Ms. Vanterpool, who is Vincentian, went to the home of the Virtual Complainant on the evening of January 2, 2009. The VC hails from the Dominican Republic.

Around 9:20 pm, while the VC was home with her roommates, she heard Ms. Vanterpool calling her name and telling her to come outside so that she could kill her.

Ms. Vanterpool then went on to accuse the VC of sleeping with her spouse.

The court heard when the VC looked out her window she saw the defendant allegedly with a knife cutting a screen of one of her windows in an attempt to enter the home. Having failed in her efforts, Ms. Vanterpool left but not without telling the VC that she will kill her whenever she sees her on the road.
