BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – AS of today (May. 6) SKNVibes will be featuring an article each Friday called ‘Entertainment weekend round-up’, which will give brief details of events taking place over the weekend, followed by a review on Mondays.
Therefore, this weekend we start with Mother’s Day, as Sunday is the big day to share and celebrate the love for all mothers.
This Friday, like any other Friday, is the time for the action on the Frigate Bay Strip where locals as well as visitors hang out, listen to music, eat and drink until the wee hours of Saturday.
On Saturday, the action heads to Carnival Village at 8:30 p.m. for the first ever Mother’s Day Pageant which will feature eight mothers from around the island.
Later that night, Ma Pau becomes the place to be for a Mother’s Day Green and White Bashment affair by De Entourage, featuring Mixklusiv, Sweet Sister Sensia and Unstoppable Sound.
After a tasty Sunday lunch, get dressed and head to Port Zante at 4:30 p.m. for the Eighth Annul Reign of Elegance Mother’s Day Hat Parade.
However, if you prefer something on the inside, then the ‘Just Dance’ production number being held at the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank by the Children’s Dance Theatre is the ideal place to be at 5:00 p.m. for an afternoon of dance.
