Three Bills for debate at June 2nd National Assembly sitting

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, May 26th 2011 (CUOPM) - Three Bills will be debated when the St. Kitts and Nevis National Assembly meets next week.

     


    The June 2nd session will see lawmakers debating The Liquor Licences (Amendment) Bill, 2011, The Public Service Bill, 2011, which was given its First Reading on October 26th 2010 and The Pharmacy Bill, 2011, given its First Reading on March 31st this year.

     


    The Public Service and Liquor Licences bills stand in the name of Prime Minister and Minister of Finance and Human Resource, Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas.

     


    The Pharmacy Bill stands in the name of the Minister of Health, Hon. Marcella Liburd.

     


    Another bill, The Gang (Prohibition and Prevention) Bill, 2011 will be introduced and given its First Reading by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Security, the Hon. Sam Condor.
