ROAD TOWN, Tortola, BVI - Born Tremaine Aldon Neverson, Trey Songz touched down on a private jet at the Terrence B. Letts ome International Airport at Beef Island around 9 p.m. last evening Thursday May 26, 2011.

The singer-songwrtier, rapper, record producer and actor, whose debut album ‘I Gotta Make It’ was released in 2005, will be on stage this evening to set the pace for the 3-day event at Cane Garden Bay.

The American is expected to dish out some of his popular hits such as “Bottoms Up”, “Can’t Help but Wait” and “Say Ahh” to his fans in the Virgin Islands.

Event promoter Neil Blyden said plans were going ‘fabulous” now that Trey Songz had arrived and encouraged the public not to miss the opportunity to see someone who could rise to be among the singing greats.

“If you live in the British Virgin Islands or anywhere nearby I don’t know when you are going to see a star of this magnitude. Trey Songz has already surpassed in the last six months, even Chris Brown and these other guys. I don’t know how big he is going to get in terms of record sales and worldwide recognition but he is really doing a lot. His shows are hot. He works with people. He is sexy.”

Mr. Blyden added that Trey Songz indicated that he has never done an outdoor show in the “pure outdoors because you don’t have that in the states so he is looking forward to seeing what it is to jam on a beach”.

Meanwhile, the promoter said Trey Songz said he was tired and unable to accommodate the media for any interviews but had promised to do so today Friday May 27.

According to the festival committee, tonight is expected to be the biggest night with backed up performances from the VI’s own four time road march champion ‘Show Time Band’ with their infectious rhythms ‘Wine like Crazy’ and ‘Yo-Yo’.

Another International artiste Keisha Cole, whose popular songs include “You Complete Me” and “Playa Cardz Right”, is expected to arrive today for her performance on Saturday. Jamaican artiste Capleton will also set the stage on fire on Saturday.

The pace of the music fest gears down on Sunday when Grammy Award winning Boyz 11 Men will entertain.

Other crowd favourites to feature at Music Fest 2011 are Iwer George and Pablo Piddy.
