Man shot in Buckley’s Estate

    One man in custody assisting police with investigations

     

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A man was shot earlier tonight (June 1) in Buckley’s Estate and is said to be currently undergoing emergency surgery at the JNF General Hospital.

     

    Information reaching SKNVibes indicates that the victim is 27-year-old David ‘Dibaloo’ Thomas of Buckley’s Estate, who was shot once to the body at approximately 7:30 tonight in the vicinity of the railway line in that community .

     

    Police are currently at the scene conducting investigations.

     

    Information at this time is sketchy; however, more on this incident as details unfold.

     

    UPDATE:

     

    SKNVibes learnt this morning (June 2) that one suspect is in custody at the Basseterre Police Station assisting officers with their investigations into the matter.

     

    It was also learnt that the bullet had entered Thomas’ left leg and exited on his right.

     

    Investigations into this incident are ongoing, as well as the one in which Adrian ‘Mac 1’ Stapleton of Neverson Street East was shot in the back while at a public pipe at the junction of James Street and Manchester Avenue in Newtown on Monday, May 30.

     

    Both men are warded at the JNF General Hospital in stable condition.
