BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – SIXTEEN players, including four reserves, were selected to represent St. Kitts in the OECS/ECCB Netball Tournament which begins on July 1 and ends on July 7.
The announcement was recently made at a social gathering at the Twist Restaurant and Bar.
The team will be led by Michelle Liburd with Talissa Brown as Vice-Captain.
The other 10 players are Shanarda Jeffers, Ronelle Morton, Keirish Richardson, Nicole Tyson, Brasia Adams, Tishanna Gumbs, Davia Walters, Kalea Huggins, Raisa Wattley-Bertie and Tianna Simmonds.
The four players named in the reserve squad are Schemeda Hazel, Shameika Phipps, Claretta Herbert and Inesha Jeffers.
In 2008, St. Kitts placed fourth in the tournament and rebounded in the following year to be crowned champions, but slipped one rung down the ladder last year.
Now, with Coach Avonelle Julien and Manager Jillian Archibald, team St. Kitts is out to get their hands back on the title having home court advantage.
