    29 Murders in 22 months!

This country is infected with “Douglasamania” which has permeated every sphere of society and destroying specifically the youth of this land.

On Monday the 15th October 2007, a bewildered and terrified nation awoke to more gun fire and the news that St Kitts has recorded its 110th Murder victim under Denzil Douglas.  Shockingly, we have had 12 murders in St Kitts for 2007 and more alarming is that over the last 22 months 29 murders have been recorded - a record per capita for any country, anywhere in the world. Just Imagine, that more than one fatal shooting occurred per month in this land of beauty. At the beginning of each month citizens tremble in fear pondering who will be next. The health conscious citizens have halted their early mornings exercises for fear that hit men and gun men will be on loose the same time.

This is the reality and St Kitts today is a modern day carbon copy of the Wild Wild West infected with impotency and incompetency in government. The elected Ministers of Government appear to be engrossed and dead locked with internal squabbles and infighting while it has been alleged that others are enriching themselves off land deals and commissions under the table. Their unethical activities are far more important to them than re-establishing the rule of Law. An implosion is inevitable as the ship of State drifts aimlessly to the precipice of disaster it seems.

No more altruism exists between Ministers and it is reported that one minister was deliberately set up to fail and now is entangled in a tug-o-war and power struggle. The paradox is that the Minister of National Security has become a national threat to safety and security and ought to be dismissed forthwith as was done with the Minister of Electricity, just before the 2004 general election if law and order is to return to this land.

The finger of retribution is sternly pointing towards Denzil Douglas who is ultimately responsible for the worsening situation and chaotic breakdown of law and order. Monkey sees, monkey will do!

The horrific shootings are so frequent and rampant nowadays that citizens are scared to sit on their verandahs as they used to under the Simmonds Administration. If Labour politicians who are in government today do not value and treasure life then the PAM must appeal directly to the misguided Labour freedom fighters - holster your guns, cease the assaults on fellow citizens and return to civil society and contribute positively to the development of our nation. We call on the Prime Minister to control his imps and reign in these unruly thugs before further harm is perpetrated on decent hard working citizens who will be forced to defend themselves outside of the law.

The dark days when Assegai was recruited and unleashed on young people must be a black mark on Douglas and Astaphan who recruited him in the Ministry of National Security as Counsel for our youths. This dubious character given well over $150,000.00 of taxpayer’s money to mislead young people; imagine the indoctrination Assegai fed to our youths?
12 years ago Denzil Douglas proclaimed that his first order of business is law and order.

Up to this day we are lucky to have survived the lawlessness, disorder and the killing streets of this land. This violent pattern from 1993 has continued to more deadly levels with AK47 riffles. Violence breeds violence as this Nation pays dearly for a prime minister who was catapulted to office on the backs of thugs and induced criminal activity, murder and disappearances. We are reaping the whirl wind of “Douglasamania” permeating and running wild. Douglas has not apologized to this nation invoking unprecedented havoc on this land and we see no reason for him to abandon the strategy which got him into office, then turn full circle and be the champion of Law and Order, frankly speaking.

When the criminals appear to have taken over St Kitts the public must have faith in the Police and provide any assistance to bring the perpetrators to justice. “Mark a man” is here and is reality which is the root cause of the problem instructed by Douglas and Timothy releasing a tiger on this land and now cannot control it.
Straight Talk that cannot be condemned
