    The Deceased DennisTortman a.k.a Ras J and a friend at happier times

    (Basseterre; St. Kitts): The jury in the Kemba Swanston murder trial went into the deliberation room, minutes ago, today, Tuesday October 10, at 1 p.m. where they are expected to return to the High Court with a verdict.
     
    Swanston told SKNVibes after the court went into the break awaiting the decision that he hopes they return with the right verdict.
     
    "That is innocent of course," he said. "Innocent all the way but I have to go through the procedure."
     
    The prosecution believes that on June 2, 2003, sometime after 11 a.m. Swanston and four others attacked omni bus HA 77 that included two passengers.
     
    Two of the passengers were brothers Dennis "Ras J" Trotman and Davin "DD" Henry of Cayon who were attacked by the men at four-mile Alley in Keys.

    Trotman lost his life and Henry received serious injuries where the four men namely Antwan Thompson, Leon Norford, Kurt and Kenneth Mills plead guilty to manslaughter.
     
    Swanston was apprehended by police on August 17, 2003 two months after the previous men were taken in by police.

    The jurors visited the murder scene yesterday, Monday 9, at four-mile Alley where the bus was attacked and Trotman lost his life.
     
    Swanston is faced with the charge of first degree murder and attempted murder.
