     - St. Kitts and Nevis reiterated Wednesday, its determination to continue working closely with Antigua and Barbuda on matters of mutual and common interest, not only on a sub-regional level, but also regionally and internationally.

Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas, who is also the current Chairman of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) in a message of congratulations to his Antigua and Barbuda counterpart on that neighbouring nation's Silver Anniversary of Independence, said this significant milestone represents a tribute to the hard battles won and lost over the last twenty-five years.

"It is our wish that it will also mark the ushering in of a new era of social and economic prosperity for your country.

I am confident that in this season of Thanksgiving, that the hard work, vision and creativity put into present harvest will indeed bear good fruit for the benefit of all in our Community," said Prime Minister Douglas in his congratulatory message to the Hon. Baldwin Spencer.
