    The Alliance Française of St-Kitts & Nevis presents "Let's Dance" at the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank Sir Cecil Jacobs Auditorium, on 4th November 2006 at 8:00 pm.

     This production is comprised of Okolo Tegremante from St-Kitts and Nevis and the world renowned Bigidi Dance Company from Guadeloupe. 

    This Internationally acclaimed company will perform their latest production entitled "Space between us". 

    The choreographer of this contemporary dancing company, Fred Lasserre, describes his latest production as "the essence of life, life is spirit and spirit is what, we human beings need to go through on our mystical journeys, allowing us to discover the space between us..
     
    Mr.Fred Lasserre, the founder and artistic Director of the group was born in Guadeloupe and started dance in the studio of Jean Ospital in France. 


    ~~Adz:Right~~ He continued his studies at the International Academy of Dance in Paris, The Alvin Ailey American dance center, The American Ballet theatre and The New York Conservatory of dance. He has taught and choreographed at schools in Italy, Spain, Ecuador, Togo, Japan, Croatia, and St.Lucia. In 2005 Mr. Lasserre received the Certificate of Aptitude " Master of Dance in Jazz.
     
    The other featured dancers, are Stephanie- Marie Louis, Catherine Laurent, Caroline Leclercq and Jean Luc Megange. They are all professionals, and are involved in different dance art forms including hip-hop, jazz and tap dancing.
     
    Catherine Laurent has been featured in the hip-hop choreography of Yves Milome in Martinique and also in the choreography of Jean Claude Bardu for the performance of Sammyel (humanity in danger) at the centre of arts of Point-A-Pitre. She is presently attending the center for Dance and the Arts. 
     
    Caroline Leclercq is a graduate from the Dance and Arts centre and began dancing in France. She has continued doing so in Guadeloupe at the Alvin Ailey American Dance School and is a certified dancer, currently teaching jazz, and tap dance.
     
    ~~Adz:Left~~Megange Jean Luc began his dance training in Sermac, Martinique and continued his studies at the center for African Dance in Paris. He is currently pursuing his diploma in contemporary dance and is a member of the Christiane Emmanuel dance company.
     
    In addition to Saturday's performance, the "Fred Lasserre "Bigidi" Dance Company will also host a work shop on Friday 3rd October from 8:15 at the Community Center on Victoria Road in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture
