On Thursday 4th January 2007, Juaan Fyfield of Ponds Estate was charged with the offence of Wounding with Intent by shooting committed on 1st January 2007 at Carty Alley, Basseterre where he allegedly shot a twenty-six (26) year-old male of Manchester Avenue, Basseterre. The victim is currently detained at the JNF GeneralHospital receiving medical attention.
The following persons were convicted at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on 4th January 2007;
·Larrier Greaux of Taylors Housing was convicted of the offences of "Careless Driving", "Driving without a license" and "Driving without insurance". He was fined as follows $300.00 to be paid in one (1) month or in default to serve fourteen (14) days imprisonment with hard labour, $100.00 to be paid in one (1) month or in default to serve fourteen (14) days imprisonment with hard labour, $300.00 to be paid in one (1) month or in default to serve fourteen (14) days imprisonment with hard labour respectively. He was also disqualified from holding or obtaining a Driver's License for a period of one (1) month.
·Leonard Gilbert of Newtown was convicted of the offence of "Driving an unlicensed vehicle" and was reprimanded and discharged.~~Adz:Right~~
·Floyd Rezan of SandyPoint was convicted of the offence of "Careless Driving" and was reprimanded and discharged.
