    Leon Isaac one of the Accused to be heard in the 2007 Assizes
    (Basseterre; St. Kitts):
     The January 2007 Criminal Assizes began Tuesday January 9th 2007 at the Basseterre High Court of Justice with several arraignments.
     
    Twenty-four persons were called before His Lordship Francis Belle where there were 23 persons that delivered "Not Guilty" pleas and one person pleading "Guilty". 
     
    The cases are as follows: Rupert Bridgewater a.k.a. "Skillful" who was charged with Burglary committed during Sep. 9-10 2006 in Basseterre and pled not guilty will have his matter heard on March 1.
     
    Calvert Flemming pled not guilty to Indecent Assault on a Woman which was committed on February 9, 2006 at Old Road.  His case will be heard on March 5.
     
    Steve Sharry who was charged with House Breaking and Larceny committed on April 16, 2006 at Bourryeau Village pled not guilty to his charges and will have his case heard on April 16.  He is also currently serving a sentence.
     
    Leon Isaac who was charged with Attempted Murder, Shooting with intent, Inflicting Grievous Bodily Harm and Maliciously Inflicting Grievous Bodily Harm committed on March 8 2004 in Basseterre pled not guilty.  He will have his case heard on March 12 2007.  
     
    Shaweed Williams faces charges for House breaking, Larceny and Receiving committed on June, 19, 2006 at Shadwell Village.  He pled not guilty and will appear before the court to answer charges on March 5.  
     
    Chevis Syder pled not guilty to Wounding with Intent, Unlawful Wounding and Unlawful Wounding with Intent committed on Feb. 6 2006 in Basseterre.  His case will be heard on Feb. 27.  
     
    Kevin Huggins pled not guilty to a Rape charged committed May 12, 2005 in Basseterre - his case will be heard on March 27.~~adz:left~~
     
    Glenville Maynard and Rawle Benjamin jointly charged with Wounding with Intent and Unlawful Wounding committed on July 21 2006 in Tabernacle both pled not guilty for wounding Sylvester James.  The matter will be tried on Feb. 7.
     
    Leon Samuel was brought before the court to answer charges of House Breaking with Intent committed on June 29, 2006 pleaded not guilty.  He will appear before the court on March 6 while Lennox Morton who was charged with Indecent Assault on a female on August 13 will have his case heard on March 6.  He also pled not guilty to his charge.
     
    Cleon Francis pled not guilty to Causing Grievous Bodily Harm and Inflicting Grievous Bodily Harm on Derrick Spruce committed on March 6 at Basseterre.  His case will be heard on Feb. 20.
     
    Phillip Francis pled not guilty to Building Breaking, Larceny and Receiving committed during Jan. 13 to 16, 2006.  He will have his case heard on Feb. 20.  
     
    Richard Morris who pled not guilty to Murder contrary to common law will have his case heard on Feb. 26.
     
    Enslie Wilkin, an elderly man who was charged with Incest and Indecent Assault will have to reappear in court on Jan. 15.  The man who claims to have problems with his eye-sight said he was unable to read his summon which included his charges and therefore was unable to make a plea.
     
    Leonard Gumbs pled not guilty to Attempted Murder, Wounding with Intent and Unlawful Wounding committed on July 4, 2006 at Parray Village St. Peters.  His case will be tried on March 7.~~adz:Right~~
     
    Everton Huggins pled not guilty to Inflicting and Causing Grievous Bodily Harm and will have his tried on Jan. 15.  George Henderson charged with Building Breaking with Intent committed on Jan. 29, 2006.  He pled guilty to that charge and will receive sentencing on Jan. 15.
     
    Lester Tross was charged with Burglary for stealing a number of items including a cell phone, tooth paste, and several other items, committed on July 1, 2006 at Ponds Pasture. He pled not guilty to the charge and will have his case heard on Feb.   
     
    William Belle also pled not guilty for the charge of Causing Grievous Bodily Harm and will appear before the court where case will be tried on Jan. 15.
     
    Also coming before the court to answer charges was Stanley Warde who pled not guilty to Burglary committed on several occasions in Saddlers Village.  His matter will be heard on Feb. 5.
     
    Samuel Caines is facing charges of Indecent Assault committed against a female on Oct. 31, 2004 at Molineux.  He pled not guilty and will appear in court on Feb. 19.  Trevor Stapleton charged with House Breaking and Larceny pled not guilty and will have his case heard on January 15.
     
    Rodney Steinbergen also pled not guilty to Indecent Assault - his matter will be heard on March 7.
