Basseterre, St. Kitts (January 11, 2007)
     - Jason Moses of Saddler's Village is the winner of Digicel's $50,000 Key to Your Fortune promotion. Popular Karaoke Bar, Sugars, proved a fitting venue for the event, allowing hundreds of people including family members, friends, and well-wishers to participate in the momentous occasion.

Host Clement 'Juni' Liburd helped build the suspense by asking each contestant what they planned to do with the $50,000 should they be the lucky winner. Answers ranged from making home renovations to buying new homes. Some cautious contestants said they would not jinx the process but would instead wait until they had actually won to decide what they would do with the money.

As one contestant after the next tried their key to no avail, the host joshed Market Manager Donovan White that perhaps he had forgotten to give someone the correct key. With only three contestants left holding keys, Jason Moses stepped up to the chest to see if he would fare any better than the twelve that went before him. Moses leapt high in the air as the key turned in the lock and the audience screamed that he had won

Commenting to the host shortly after winning, Moses said he would invest some of his winnings and save the rest. "Well I want to say thanks to God first, and then I want to say that Digicel is the best company in the world!" an emotional Moses said facing the applauding crowd, TV cameras and flashing camera bulbs.

Telecommunications Minister, the Honourable Nigel Carty, who also resides in the Saddler's area, attended the event and congratulated Mr. Moses, but more importantly, commented on the effect of the promotion. "When we have companies operating competitively in the market.

We have companies promoting and bringing these benefits to the people and this is just one example of the benefits that the people of the Federation would get when we have competition. And so we expect the companies to do their very best, promote their products
and their services, and the people of the country and indeed the companies are going to benefit tremendously," Carty remarked.

Since the launch of the Digicel's Key to Your Fortune promotion in St. Kitts and Nevis, a total of twenty-seven persons won cash prizes totalling $21,000. Twelve persons each won cash prizes of $500 as winners of the weekly cash draw and fifteen persons won cash prizes of $1,000 for successfully spelling the word DIGICEL by combining the letters printed on Top-Up cards.

The fifteen $1,000 winners went on to try their luck at opening the fortune chest containing a $50,000 cash prize and other tangible prizes. Remaining true to their 'With Digicel You Are A Winner' slogan, the fourteen other contestants walked away with gift bags loaded with Digicel promotional gift items.

Digicel's Market Manager Donovan White was on hand to congratulate Mr. Moses and commented on the conclusion of the promotion. White wrote Moses' name on an actual cheque for the $50,000, signed it and presented it to Moses moments after he had won.

"Today really is the crowning moment of a very fun and wonderful year and we can only look forward to doing greater things and of course giving more and having our people expect more," White disclosed.

White concluded his remarks by reinforcing that Digicel is committed to long-term participation in the telecommunications industry on St. Kitts and Nevis. "Digicel will continue to look for unique and creative ways to reward our loyal customers while they continue to experience the other rewarding benefits of being a Digicel customer," White said.
