    Johnny Ford Mayor of the City of Tuskegee, Alabama, Patrice A. Hinnant District Court Judge, State of North Carolina, Judge Michael Bagneris President of the National Bar Association being greeted by Deputy Premier the Hon. Hensley Daniel on their arrival at the Charlestown Pier
    CHARLESTOWN NEVIS (January 22, 2007) --
    Deputy Premier of Nevis the Hon Hensley Daniel was on hand at the Charlestown Pier on Friday January 12, 2006 to welcome a group from the National Bar Association (NBA) in America.

    Mr. Daniel thanked the group on behalf of the government and people of Nevis and invited them to enjoy a longer return visit to the island in the future.

    The over 100 member group visited Nevis for an island tour and a reception by the Nevis Bar Association as part of their January 10-14 National Bar Association Judicial Council Mid Winter Meeting and Board Meeting at the Marriott Resort in St. Kitts under the theme "Carrying the Torch - Leading by Example". 
     
    Meantime, President of the NBA Judge Michael Bagneris, expressed his delight to be in Nevis and said it was a treat for the group to be greeted by the Deputy Premier and "we truly appreciate that".
    Mayor Johnny Ford the Mayor of the City of Tuskegee, Alabama, expressed similar sentiments and urged Mr. Daniel to get more students to pursue studies in his city. ~~adz:Right~~

    Ford, who is also the founder and president of the World Council of Mayors, said they would consider having their World Mayor's Conference in the Federation.
    Deputy Premier the Hon. Hensley Daniel welcomes members of the National Bar Association of the USA to Nevis.

    The delegates left the Federation on Sunday January 14th but not before participating in a number of seminars on a range of topics including "Gangs: Homeland Terrorism"; "Everyday Ethical Pitfalls" and "Is the US Supreme Court Rescinding Affirmative Action?"  The group also held convocation on Saturday January 13th at the Zion Moravian Church in Basseterre.
