On 15^th January 2007, at the Basseterre Magistrate's Court the following persons were convicted for various offences and sentencing given:

1.    Joseph Lee of Lower Monkey Hill who was charged with Battery, which was committed on 2/6/06, was convicted and discharged, and he was ordered to pay compensation of $500.00 in two (2) weeks or in default he would serve fourteen (14) days in prison. 

2.    
Hasani Herbert of Lower Monkey Hill who was charged with the offence of Disorderly Conduct by Fighting which was committed on 10/11/06, who was previously convicted to do community service on 12/12/06 and to return to court on 15/1/07 for a report, was convicted, and reprimanded and discharged.

3.    Valmon Jeffers of New Road Housing who was charged with the offence of Disorderly Conduct by Fighting which was committed on 10/11/06, who was previously convicted to do community service on 12/12/06 and to return to court on 15/1/07 for a report was, convicted and reprimanded and discharged. :~~adz:Right~~

4.    Vernon Cornelius of New Road Housing who was charged with the offence of Disorderly Conduct by Fighting which was committed on 10/11/06, who was previously convicted to do community service on 12/12/06 and to return to court on 15/1/07 for a report was, convicted and reprimanded and discharged.

5.    Genius Huggins of New Road Housing who was charged with the offence of Disorderly Conduct by Fighting which was committed on 10/11/06, who was previously convicted to do community service on 12/12/06 and to return to court on 15/1/07 for a report was, convicted and reprimanded and discharged.

On Monday 15^th January 2007 the following persons were arrested and charged for various offences:~~adz:Right~~

1.    Exzavier Elliott of John England Project was charged with the offence of Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply to another, which were committed on 15/1/07.

2.    Akil Anthony alias "Penny Head" of Back Street, Cayon was charged with the offence of Larceny, which was committed on 13/12/06.

3.    Mercia Wharton of Newtown was charged with the offence of receiving, which was committed on between November 2006 and 15^th January 2007.

4.    Craig Robert of Newtown was charged with the offence of receiving, which was committed between November 2006 and 15^th January 2007.

5.    Adonis Warner of Sandy Point was charged with the offence of Throwing Missiles and Battery, which were committed on 10/1/07. He was later granted bailed in the sum of $1,000.00 to appear at the District Magistrates Court on 30/1/07.

6.    Joseph Charles of Sandy Point was charged with the offence of Throwing Missiles and Battery, which were committed on 10/1/07.

On Monday 15^th January 2007 at the High Court George Henderson Pleaded guilty to a charge of House Breaking and Larceny, and he was fined $1,800.00 to be paid in six (6) months or in default he would serve twelve (12) months in prison.

On Tuesday 16^th January 2007 the resident Pathologist Dr. R Santiago performed a Post Mortem on the body of the late Judith Tota of George Street, Newtown, at the Mortuary at the Joseph N France General Hospital.  The result of the Post Mortem indicates the death was due to a Massive Pulmonary Edema due to Left Ventricular Failure or Heart Failure.
