    Robert Farrell
(Basseterre; St. Kitts): The High Court was in light laughter and smiles last week as two men hugged and shook hands to prove to His Lordship Francis Belle that they had reconciled after an incident in 2005.

Both men Robert Farrell and David Lowry were grateful to His Lordship for not sending them to prison.  The cousins were both living together when a domestic dispute broke out between them at their home in Stainforth Street, New Town, on March 5, 2005.

It was said that 25-year old Farrell and 31-year old Lowry had an argument at their home over a cooking-gas tank where things escalated and both men chopped each other with a brown-handled machete. ~~adz:right~~

The men who were represented by lawyers begged for His Lordship's mercy in not sending them to jail for neither of the two had any previous record.  The lawyers also said that they don't get into trouble and had already gotten over the matter and were friends again.

Belle dealt with the matter by questioning both accused and also asked them about their lifestyles.

Farrell replied by saying, "I am a humble person and I don't get into trouble; all I wanna do is work and tek care of my youth."

Lowry said that it was the first time he has been involved in something like this.

Both men were then placed on three-year probation which if breached they would spend twelve months in prison.
