    In keeping with his commitment to maintain discipline within the organization, Wednesday 24th January 2007 saw the first Commissioner of Police Parade for the New Year. At approximately 06:30 a.m., members the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force assembled at Lozack Road and marched to the Police Training School compound at Ponds Pasture. After an initial inspection by the Commissioner of Police, the men and women of the organization were engaged in various aspects of armed and unarmed drills. The parade concluded with a short route march Pond Road, Cayon Street, Victoria Road and ended at Lozack Road.

     

     

     

    Senior Officers on parade included the Commissioner of Police Mr. Robert Jeffers, Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police Mr. Stafford Liburd, Force Personnel Officer, Superintendent Ian Queeley, and Head of the Criminal Investigations Department, Superintendent Joseph Richardson. ~~adz:Left~~

     

     

     

     

     

    On Thursday 25th January 2007 at the St. Christopher Circuit Court, Sylvester Kelly who was indicted for the offences of "Wounding with Intent" and "Unlawful Wounding" was found not guilty on both Indictments.

     

     

     

    Also on the same date, a 16-year-old male of Buckley's Site was arrested and charged with the offence of "Wounding with Intent" committed on 22nd January 2007 at the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College.

     

     

     

    On Thursday 25th January 2007, at the Basseterre Juvenile Court a male juvenile who was taken before the said court was convicted, reprimand and discharged. Whereas a female juvenile who was also taken before the said court was convicted and ordered to pay $500.00 compensation to the victim or in default she would serve fourteen (14) days in prison.~~adz:Right~~

     

     

     

     

     

    On Thursday 25th January 2007, a Traffic Accident occurred along the Island Main Road at Cayon involving motor car PA-6683 owned and driven by Michael Phillip of Molyneaux and a twelve (12) year old female pedestrian of Cabbage Tree Housing Project, who suffered serious injuries to her legs. Police are carrying out investigations into the matter and would in light of this incident encourage both drivers and pedestrians to use the roads with due care and attention.
