(Basseterre; St. Kitts): The world renowned pizza franchise, Domino's Pizza, opened shop in St. Kitts, on Monday, March 12th.
The popular pizza maker and distributor opened its store on Fort Street, right in the heart of Basseterre.
Initially, Domino's Pizza was set to open for the Christmas season of 2006, but because of several setbacks, the opening was delayed.
However, the franchise was opened just in time to catch the commercial wave generated by the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007.~~adz:Right~~
Mr. Anthony Johnson (local lawyer) and Mr. Ivan Hanley have partnered with Mr. John Caputo and the rest of the owners of the Domino's Pizza franchise from St. Maarten.
According to Mr. Johnson, the new business venture is a significant one, but he and his partners are confident that the initiative will yield dividends.
"It was exactly two years ago when we began initial discussions with our partners in St. Maarten," Johnson disclosed.
"The decision to start a Domino's franchise was based on comprehensive market research. Consumer demand also convinced us that Domino's was the right way to go," he added.
He went on to say that given the quality and variety of the pizzas being sold by his company, the price is extremely reasonable.
In addition, Domino's offers delivery service to as far as Cayon in the East and Old Road in the West.
Presently, the company employs thirty persons, full and part time.
The franchise brings a wealth of experience, as the company in St. Maarten has been in existence for over 11 years, and operates four outlets there.
