    Cable & Wireless St. Kitts & Nevis Ltd proudly distinguished itself among the Cable & Wireless group worldwide with the receipt of one of 10 awards for Excellence.

     

    The Award for the Most Effective Change Management, was presented to Chief Executive, Pat Walters at the Cable & Wireless Global Summit, which was held in Monaco in February. A Team award, the supporting documentation had to show how the team which has faced the challenge of change, dealt with it effectively through good planning, communication and great leadership. 

     

    Showcasing the company's successful mobile story in St. Kitts and Nevis, the submission included samples of marketing campaigns and corporate communication messages. It was also supported by empirical data, which augmented the success story of the organization.

    "It was a very proud moment for me to represent not only Cable & Wireless St. Kitts and Nevis, but indeed the entire East region," said an overjoyed Pat Walters, the company's Chief Executive.  She explained that other than Barbados, Cable & Wireless St. Kitts and Nevis was the only Caribbean operation that won an award.

    Her colleague Chief Executives representing the Business Units in the East shared in the celebration, and joined her for a photo opportunity upon presentation of the award.

    The Chief Executive has already challenged her staff to raise the bar in preparation for next year's awards.  She is confident that Cable & Wireless St. Kitts & Nevis can collect at least two additional awards and has already indicated her willingness to provide the necessary support to make this a reality. Awards are also given for outstanding performances in the areas of Communications, IT and Finance.

    The winning team members from St. Kitts & Nevis for this year's Change Management Award include: David Lake ­ VP Mobile and Consumer Services, Terrence Crossman ­ VP Corporate Sales, Laverne Caines ­ VP 
    Corporate Communications and Marketing, Lionel Evans ­ Manager Switching, Internet and Data, Diane Browne ­ Channel Manager, Shermel Belle ­ Manager Mobile Operations and Claudette Walwyn - Marketing Executive.

     

    This is the second year that the event is being held following the inaugural one held in Barbados a year ago.
