"Persons tried to get him out of the water and administered CPR on McIntosh as well as calling the EMS but it was too late," Moore said.

The Inspector said that a post mortem was conducted by the resident pathologist On Saturday, and revealed that McIntosh died as a result of drowning.

McIntosh was Supervisor of Housekeeping Department at Ross University.

"That was the Caribbean side, normally it is the Atlantic side that is rough," Inspector Moore said of McIntosh's death. "I would like to take this opportunity to urge people to exercise caution when going to the beach and to use lifeguard jackets if they are not strong swimmers."
