     - The St Kitts Marriott Resort is proud to undertake our third partnership effort with the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College. This is another installment of the hotels efforts to assist students from the college in their pursuit of an Associates Degrees in Hospitality and Culinary Arts.
               
    A total of (9) nine students will spend (6) six weeks at the hotel beginning March 28th until May 4th. Their tenure will encompass attaining practical experience both in the Culinary Arts and Hospitality sectors.
              
    An affectionate and enthusiastic warm welcome combined with a challenge to make the most of their work study program, was extended during their orientation on Tuesday March 27th by Fabian Bornefeld - Human Resources Manager at the Resort. The group was introduced to the history and culture of Marriott International as well as the St. Kitts Marriott Resort.
               
    The Resort's General Manager Mr. Jorge Landa shared some of his experiences with the students while providing a warm welcome to not only the St Kitts Marriott Resort but to the Hospitality Industry as a whole.

The size and scale of our property offers multiple opportunities to interested graduates willing to apply themselves, invest their talents and time to explore the many training options available in the Hospitality Industry,"  said General Manager - Jorge Landa.     
               
    2007 marks the third year of this partnership which started in November 2005. The first class was trained in "Basic Hospitality Training" and taken through a series of short sessions beginning with an introduction to Marriott Corporation, followed by Intro to St. Kitts Marriott, followed by overall Customer Service and Teamwork. Additional hands on training were completed in the Banquets and Catering Department.
            
    In 2006 (6) six students spent (6) six weeks at the hotel between March & May. Their tenure encompassed practical experience in Banquets and Catering, Restaurant and Lounge operations, as well as all aspects of Rooms Operations.
