(Basseterre; St. Kitts): City Drug Store will be amalgamated with the TDC Business Equipment to form one big department store.
This joining will ensure smooth and seamless customer service and accounting purposes; the Business Equipment Department will become a division of City Drug Store (2005) Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of TDC according to a press release.
According to Nick Menon a Director at TDC, the preparations for the department store will be done over the weekend and it will open with a small ceremony on Monday morning, April 23 at 8:30 a.m.
Menon said that they were very excited to have City Drug Store and Business Equipment under one roof.
"We were renting the property that City Drug Store was in so it was always our aim to have the store in our new building," he said. "We wanted to have an upgrade and set new standards as well as retain architecture we had in Basseterre. It hasn't been easy but we have been able to overcome our hurdles.
Menon said that they will also be expanding with a new range of products and items for the drug store and business equipment.
We have already had focus groups where we listened to some of the concerns and ideas from some of our key clients on how to improve our service and starting on Monday we would have improved service, he said.
The City Drug Store was situated on Fort Street, Basseterre for many years.
