Police Press Release

    Several 15-year-olds have been charged with offences recently by the Royal St. Kitts Police Force.

    The following were arrests and charges with offences between 21st and 23rd April 2007;

           ·        
    A (15) fifteen-year-old male of Buckley's Site, was charged with the offence of "House Breaking and Larceny" committed on 2nd April 2007.

     

     

     

    ·         A (15) fifteen-year-old male of King Street, was charged with the offence of "Carrying Abroad an offensive Weapon" committed on 18th April 2007.

     

     

     

    ·         A (15) fifteen-year-old male of Lime Kiln Project, was charged with the offence of "Carrying Abroad an offensive Weapon" committed on 18th April 2007.

     

     

     

    ·         Lesley Browne of Central Street, Basseterre was charged with the offences of "Being Found in an Enclosed Premise, for some unlawful purpose" and "Carrying Abroad an Offensive Weapon" committed on 18th April 2007. 

     

     

     

    ·         Lennis Dickenson of Stone Fort Project was charged with the offense of "Possession of a Controlled Drug" to wit cannabis committed on 17th April 2007.

     

     

     

    ·         James Francis of Willets Village, St. Pauls, was charged with the offence of "Building Breaking and Larceny" committed on 13th April 2007.

     

     

     

    At the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Friday 20th April 2007, a (15) fifteen-year-old male of the New Road area was convicted and fined $1,000 to be paid in three (3) months, for the offence of "Wounding" committed on 6th January 2007.

     

     

     

    Officers of the Strike Force Unit discovered a plastic bag containing (31) thirty-one small ziploc bags which contained vegetable material suspected of being cannabis. The items were found inside of a wooden roller at Fort Thomas Road on 20th April 2007 but no one was held in connection with the find.

     

     

     

     

     

    In furtherance of the investigation into the shooting death of Robert "Robbie" Smith, two male juveniles of the Basseterre area are presently assisting police with this investigation.~~adz:Right~~

     

     

     

    Smith was found dead with a wound to his head, on the morning of Sunday 22nd April 2007 at Russell Village, Basseterre.

     

     

     

    Police are once again urging persons with information relevant to the investigation of this incident to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 465-2241 extensions 220/230/236 and they can do so anonymously.

     

     

     

     

     

    Police are investigating an incident that occurred at approximately 9:00 p.m. on Saturday 21st April 2007 on the main road at New Road where a woman was assaulted and wounded. One person is presently in police custody assisting with this investigation which is ongoing.
