    (Basseterre; St. Kitts):
The Traffic Department of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police force is currently investigating an accident that occurred on the island's main road, in West Farm, at approximately 9:15 a.m. on Thursday morning, April 26th, that has left a female hospitalized, nursing body wounds.

The accident involved three vehicles. PA 5733, owned by Pastor Desmond Herbert and PA1018, owned by Anna Samuel, were parked on the side of the road in front of a residence, when a third vehicle, P 3735, impacted them, causing extensive damage to all three vehicles.

According to Pastor Herbert, he was on the verandah of his residence when he heard a loud bang. On hearing the noise he tried to get outside through his gate to see what was happening, but the impact had moved the parked vehicles, lodging one right in front of the gate, making an exit impossible.

He had to pry off the lock from the lower gate to get outside to see what was happening.

Once he reached outside, Pastor Herbert said he was told that the female driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital, by a passerby, because she had suffered serious wounds, which were bleeding profusely.

He also realized that his own vehicle, PA 5733, was lodged in the middle of the road because of the impact.

The female occupant of the vehicle is not yet known, but the Police are continuing their investigations.

The Traffic Department also continues to appeal to motorists to exercise due care and attention when driving.
