A young woman is nursing minor injuries, especially to her knee area, after she was knocked down while crossing the Bay Road, right in front of the Kentucky Fried Chicken outlet, on the pedestrian crossing, during rush hour traffic on Monday afternoon, at approximately 4:30, when many are commuting home from work.

It was Divine intervention why more serious injuries were not sustained.

According to eyewitness reports, passenger bus, H 7751, driven by Eleazer Locker, was traveling westward, when it stopped to allow the young woman to cross.

However, when the motorbus stopped, a pick-up truck, P 4005, heading westward as well, rear-ended the passenger bus and caused it to hit the woman who had already begun to cross.

Eyewitnesses further indicated that the impact caused the woman to be knocked to the ground, after she which she began favouring her knee.

She was assisted by the passersby, until the ambulance came.~~Adz:Right~~

The Police are carrying out their investigations into the cause of the accident.

Meantime, Traffic officers continue to appeal to motorists to exercise due care and attention while driving.
