    The following persons were convicted at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on 10th May 2007;

     

    ·         Harvey Liburd of Newton Ground was convicted of the offence "Careless Driving" and fined $350.00 to be paid in three (3) weeks or in default to serve one (1) week in prison.

     

     

     

    ·         Joseph Liburd of Ponds Extension was convicted of the offence "Careless Driving" and fined $300.00 to be paid in three (3) weeks or in default to serve two (2) weeks in prison.

     

    ·         Vernaldo Rawlins of St. Peters was convicted of the offence "Careless Driving" and fined $300.00 to be paid in one (1) week or in default to serve one (1) week in prison.

     

     

     

    ·         Elvert Davis of Old Road was convicted of the offence "Driving an Unlicensed Vehicle" and fined $500.00 to be paid in two (2) months or in default to serve two (2) weeks in prison. He was also convicted of "Careless Driving" and "Driving with an expired license" and fined $200.00 to be paid in two (2) months or in default to serve fourteen (14) days in prison.

     

     

     

    ·         Harvey Liburd of Newton Ground was convicted of the offence "Careless Driving" and fined $350.00 in three (3) weeks or in default to serve one (1) week in prison.

     

     

     

    ·         Idelia Wilkes of Palmetto Point was convicted of the offence "Careless Driving" and cautioned.

     

     

     

    ·         Colleen Richardson of Saddlers Village was convicted of the offence "Careless Driving" and fined $500.00 in one (1) week or in default to serve one (1) week in prison. ~~adz:Right~~  

     

     

     

    ·         Terren Hanley of St. Peters was convicted of the offence "Careless Driving" and fined $500.00 in one (1) week or in default to serve one (1) week in prison.

     

     

     

    ·         Ashton Williams of Molyneaux was convicted of the offence "Careless Driving" and cautioned.

     

     

     

    ·         Emile Stapleton of Buckley's Estate was convicted of the following offences; for "Driving an Unlicensed vehicle" he was fined $200.00, for "Driving an Unregistered Vehicle" he was fined $100.00 and for "Driving without Insurance" he was fined $250.00.

     

     

     

    ·         Desdemona Henry of Frigate Bay was convicted of the offence "Careless Driving" and fined $300.00.

     

     

     

    ·         Michael Bridgewater of Ponds Pasture was convicted of the offence "Careless Driving" and fined $300.00.

     

     

     

    ·         Joval Isaac of Conaree was convicted of the following offences; for "Careless Driving" he was fined $300.00, for "Driving without insurance" he was fined $300.00 and for "Driving without a License" he was fined $200.00.

     

     

     

    ·         Bruce Nolan of Cunningham Street was convicted of the offence "Careless Driving" and fined $250.00.

     

     

     

     

     

    Also at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Friday 11th May 2007, Kervin Hanley of West Farm was convicted of the following offences; on a charge of 'Battery' on a female he was convicted and sentenced to serve six (6) months imprisonment with hard labour; for "Exposing his person" he was deemed a Rouge and a Vagabond and sentenced to three (3) months imprisonment with hard labour. On a charge of "Being found in an enclosed premise" he was deem A Rouge and A Vagabond and sentenced to serve (6) months imprisonment with hard labour. On a charge of "Larceny" he was convicted and sentenced to serve three (3) years imprisonment with hard labour; on a charge of "Being armed with an offensive weapon" he was deemed A Rouge and A Vagabond and sentenced to serve three (3) months imprisonment with hard labour. The offences were committed on 6th May 2007 at West Farm.

     

     

     

    The following persons were arrested and charged with offences between 11th and 13th May 2007;

     

     

     

    ·         Spencer Vernon Hodge of Keys Village was charged with the offences of "Malicious Damage", "Resisting Arrest", "Battery on a Police Officer" and "Making Use of Indecent Language", committed on 13-05-07 at Keys Village.

     

     

     

    ·         Evan Daniel of Parsons was charged with the offences of "Malicious Damage and "Assaulting Police Officer while in the execution of his duty" committed on 12th April 2007 at Parsons and 27th April 2007 at Saddles respectively. Daniel was also charged with the offence of "Possession of a Controlled Drug" to wit cannabis, committed on 11th May 2007 at Saddlers Village.

     

     

     

    ·         Three male juveniles from the Basseterre area were charged with the offence of "Possession of Ammunition" committed on 12th May 2007 at St. Johnson Village.

     

     

     

    ·         Jaheba Samuel of Station Street, Old Road, Samuel Bradshaw of Camps, Kwame Samuel of Wingfield Road, Romaine Clarke of Pond Hill, Nevis and Ishawn Samuel of Green Tree Project were charged with the offences of "Possession with Intent to Supply" and "Possession of Controlled Drugs" to wit cannabis, committed on 12th May 2007 at Wingfield Road, Old Road.
