At the Sandy Point Magistrate Court on 16^th May 2007, Michael Wigley of Godwin Ghaut was convicted of "Escaping Lawful Custody" committed on 10^th April 2007 at Sandy Point. He was subsequently sentenced to serve one (1) month imprisonment. 

Also at the said court, Bernell Duncan of Bouncing Hill, Sandy Point was committed to stand trial at the September 2007 Criminal Assizes for the offence of "Attempted Murder" committed on 5^th August 2005 at Sir Girlies Mountain.

The following persons were convicted at the Basseterre Magistrate on 17^th May 2007, which was presided by Her Worship Miss Clarke;

·         Orlando Belle of Belle Vue was convicted for the offence of "Driving off the Bus Route" and was fined $200.00 to be paid in one (1) week or in default to serve one (1) week in prison.

·         George Welcome of Mansion was convicted for the offence of "Failing to keep left around a round-a-bout" and was fined $400.00 to be paid in one (1) week or in default to serve two (2) weeks in prison.

·         George Sweeney of Old Road was convicted for the offence of "Taking a vehicle without the owners consent" and was fined $500.00 to be paid in one (1) month or in default to serve one (1) month in prison. He was also convicted of the offences of "Driving without Insurance" and was fined $1,000.00 in six (6) months or in default to serve one (1) month in prison and for "Driving without a license" he was fined $1,000.00 in three (3) months or in default to serve one (1) month in prison.

At the Charlestown Magistrate Court on 17^th May 2007, Anthony Francis of Hanley's Road, Gingerland was convicted of the offence of "Larceny" committed between 2^nd and 3^rd May 2006. He was subsequently sentenced to serve three (3) months imprisonment with hard labour.

The following persons were arrested and charged with offences on 17^th May 2007;

·         A (13) thirteen-year-old male of the Saddlers area was charged with the offense "Possession of a Controlled Drug" to wit cannabis, committed on 17^th May 2007 at the Cayon High School.

·         Saish James of Bath Village was charged with the offence of "Possession of a Controlled Drug" to wit cannabis committed on 17^th May 2007 at Bath Village, Nevis.

·         Rolston Prentice of Clay Ghaut, Gingerland was charged with the offence of "Unlawful Carnal Knowledge" committed against an imbecile woman on 14^th May 2007 at Clay Ghaut, Nevis.
