Police Press Release

    The following persons were charged with offences, between 18th and 20th May 2007;

     

    ·         Nakita Maynard of Ponds Extension was charged with the offence "Uttering a Forged Document", committed on 3rd May 2007.

     

    ·         Damian Hendrickson of The Gardens Housing Project was charged with the offences of "Driving without a valid license" and "Driving without Insurance" committed on 18th May 2007.

     

     

     

    ·         Alejandro Quezado Hernandez, Janay Pineda, Manuel Pembeton and Mario Florentine all of Nevis were charged with the offence of "Larceny" committed on 13th May 2007.

     

     

     

    ·         Dexter Francis and Esbon Jarvis of Tabernacle Village were charged with the offences of "Possession of a Controlled Drug" and Possession with Intent to Supply a Controlled Drug" to wit cannabis, committed on 18th May 2007 at Tabernacle.

     

     

     

    ·         Trevor Frances of St. Pauls Village was charged with the offence "Carrying Abroad an Offensive Weapon"  to wit a meat chopper, committed on 18th May 2007.

     

     

     

    ·         A sixteen-year-old male of the Irish Town area was charged with the offence of "Larceny" committed on 17th May 2007 at New Street, Basseterre.

     

    ·         Wilson and Allison Jones of Fountain Village, Nevis were both charged with the offence of Larceny of a Cattle" to wit a goat, committed on 8th May 2007 at Pinney's.

     

     

     

    ·         Clayton Pemberton of Craddock Road, Nevis was charged with the offence of "Wounding" committed on 18th May 2007 at Ramsbury, Nevis.

     

    On Friday 18thMay 2007 at the Basseterre Magistrate Court, Jervin Ritchin aka Jervin Dowell of Taylor's Housing was convicted of the offence "Threatening Language" and sentenced to serve one (1) month imprisonment with hard labour. 

     

    On Friday 18th May 2007 at the Basseterre Magistrate Court, the following persons were committed to stand trial;

     

     

     

    ·         Kimoy Powell of Bath Village and Wendell Peets of Basseterre who were both jointly charged with the offence of "Building Breaking and Larceny", were committed to stand trial at the September 2007 Criminal Assizes.

     

     

     

    ·         Quincy Wilson of Ottley's Village who was charged with the offence of "Grievous Bodily Harm" was committed to stand trial at the September 2007 Criminal Assizes.
