Charlestown; Nevis): Prominent businessman and political commentator Edric Stanley was shot several times during an attempted robbery at his business place around 1 a.m. today, Wednesday May 30.
According to the police, they responded to a call from Stanley's family at around 1:15 a.m. The assailant is still at large.
Stanley was shot several times at his business, Stanley's Supermarket situated at Church Ground and, he is presently in stable condition at the Alexandra Hospital.
A police official told SKNVibes.com that Stanley was robbed several years ago while at his supermarket but that the perpetrator was apprehended.

The police are continuing investigations into the matter and ask if anyone has any information on the incident to contact them.
Stanley is described as a mega-business man being a Realtor, Financial Consultant, Stock broker, and owner of a supermarket and gas station.
He was also a former independent political candidate and is also a heavyweight analyst on Von Radio's popular "Let's Talk" program.
