St. Kitts Hosts Golf Tournament This Weekend

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE Royal St. Kitts Golf Club is set to host yet another 2-day Golf Tournament from June 11th-12th, 2011.

     

    This annual tournament is said to be one of the most exciting golf tournaments and is regarded as ideal for those looking for championship golf and friendly competition.

     

    Complete with beautiful fairways, lush greens and magnificent views of the Caribbean Sea, this 36-hole golf course is the most scenic and best-conditioned in the region.

     

    Adrian Norford, island native, won the competition in 2004, 2006 and 2010 and is the front-runner to win in this 2011 tournament.
    This year, the 2011 Johnnie Walker St. Kitts Open marks the 30th anniversary of the tournament.

     

    Activities begin on Friday (June 10) at 6 p.m. with the Opening Ceremony at the Marriott Conference Room and conclude with the Closing Ceremony on Sunday (June 12) at 6 p.m.

     

    Interesting persons looking to compete in this tournament can register at the Marriott or call (869) 466-2700.  There is a fee of $260 per player, including two rounds of golf, complimentary lunch on days of play, with car fees of $25 for the practice round on Friday.

     

    A special room rate of $119 per night has also been arranged at the Marriott St. Kitts Resort for those golfers who would like overnight accommodations.

     

    Players from all around the Caribbean are expected to fly in for this meet.
