Soca sensation PUMPA for Green Valley’s Band-O-Rama Explosion

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – WITH only a few hours left before the Official Opening of the 15th Annual Green Valley Community Festival, they recently announced that Soca Sensation Pumpa will headline the Reggae and Soca Band-O-Rama Explosion this Sunday (June 12).  

     

    The show will take place at the festival site, Maynard’s Park dubbed ‘The Sandbox’ beginning from 8:00 p.m. sharp.

     

    Pumpa, who is originally from St. Kitts but resides in the US Virgin Islands recently voiced a promotional recording confirming his presence at the Festival’s show.

     

    In the recording he states that he will be coming ‘home sweet home’ live and direct, and he encourages everyone to check out the show.

     

    The soca sensation is known for tracks like ‘Wuk Up To Dis’, ‘Tak Trada’, ‘Best Ah Dem’ and his most recent 2011 ‘Wifey Material’. He has also performed amongst some of soca’s best artistes such as Alison Hinds and Iwer George. 

     

    According to one of the committee members, the event will also feature performances by  ‘White Sheet’ singer - Nicha B, Dymanyzed, Upstairs Family, Chronical Family and Green Valley’s own famous star, Infamus.  

     

    Meanwhile DJ Yardy, Triple S - Sweet Sister Sensia, Chalice Sounds, Freedom Sounds and the Nu Vybes Band will ‘round up’ some musical entertainment. 

     

    The Green Valley Festival Committee will host its Official Opening Ceremony later today, June 9 at Cayon’s Community Centre and will bring it to a close on Monday, June 13.
