"St Kitts Marriott says "Thank You" to all it's wonderful associates"

Press Release (St Kitts Marriotts)

Frigate Bay St Kitts – “People first” has been the foundation of Marriott's success for over 80 years. Combined with a strong corporate culture and inspiring core values are the keys to Marriott’s continued success. Every year there is a full week of activities planned worldwide in appreciation of all associates.

The St Kitts Marriott s took the opportunity to say “Thank You” to all its associates during this year’s annual Associate Appreciation Week. Fun was the order of the day as an entire week of activities was planned for the week of May 16th ending May 22.  All this created in celebration of the successes and achievements of each and every associate.

Each division was given a day that was solely theirs to execute as they saw fit. The only goal was to use that day in being creative while saying “Thank You” to associates.

The week saw a myriad of activities starting with a Pep Rally which commenced with a marching band alerting associates to the start of the rally. The rally was also the stage for the launching of associate slogans with performances from the entire hotel. While this was going on associates were also given the opportunity to win gifts and prizes.

The rally was also the perfect forum for engaging everyone in congratulating some of our outstanding Supervisors and Managers. Outstanding Managers were Lorraine Phillip – Tobias, Peter Capeza and Clive Armbrister. Whereas those outstanding Supervisors were Anthony Grant, Tishanna Norford and Kevis Taylor.

Most divisions began their day by serving breakfast to associates as they arrived to work, even before they got to their areas. Others chose to deliver breakfast to the associates personally while they were in their individual areas. Throughout the week there was a BBQ lunch Event, Olympic Games, Boomerang Throwing contest, plus Smoothie give-aways. Friday night the Royal Ballroom was transformed into a movie theatre complete with pop-corn and hotdogs being served during the movies at no expense to the associates. Every day during lunch there was a special treat that coincided with the day’s theme. The week culminated with a Church Service which saw the Royal Ballroom undergoing another transformation.

The week was EXCELLENT!  I believe that everyone found a day or an event which best suited them.  One of my favorite parts of the week was greeting each and every associate at the Associate Entrance with a small breakfast “to-go” each day of the week.  We are already looking forward to next year and what we might do to keep everyone on their toes, said Shani Juman Yassin Director of Human Resources at the St Kitts Marriott Resort
