Stars of Tomorrow Performing Arts Camp returns this summer…

Press Release

BASSETERRE St. Kitts, June 8th 2011 - The STARS OF TOMORROW Performing Arts Day Camp is back for the summer of 2011. Jointly organized by The Children’s Dance Theatre, The Fireflies Dance School, CFBC Dance Ensemble and Pink Splash Media, the day camp was started in 2004 out of the desire to foster greater passion for the arts in a fun-filled learning environment.

The youth enrichment camp which begins with an Opening Ceremony on July 16th, will provide an avenue for campers to artistically explore their abilities in various performing arts.  An exciting curriculum is being planned featuring Dance Performance, Musical Theatre,  Costume Making, Modeling, just to name a few. At the end of the camp, a recital will be staged to give these budding performing artistes the opportunity to showcase their talent to their family, friends and the general public.

The all-day performing arts experience will encouragingly enrich the minds of young people and illustrate the many physical and psychological benefits of being a performing artist. At the end of it all, it is hoped that campers will have an undying thirst for participation in the arts and become members of various performing arts groups.

Applicants must demonstrate enthusiasm, dedication and a desire to perform.

While spots are limited, potential campers need not have any experience in the arts, as diligent and trained Camp Leaders will be readily available to ensure that they develop into up-and-coming performing artistes. In addition, Pink Splash Media will reward 4 children full scholarships based on financial need in an effort to reach a wide range of the Federation’s most enthusiastic prospective performers.
