    BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, JUNE 6TH 2007 (CUOPM) - St. Kitts and Nevis has appointed honorary consuls to the Republics of Brazil and India.

     

    Mr. Cecil Gus Williams has been appointed Honorary Consul for Brazil and Mr.

     

    Kishu Chandiramani has been appointed Honorary Consul for India.

     

    The Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis has honorary consuls in Argentina, the Dominican Republic, Belize, the United States Virgin Islands, Costa Rica, Miami, Montreal, Nova Scotia, Toronto, Switzerland, Turkey and France.~~Adz:Right~~

     

    St. Kitts and Nevis recently the government unveiled in a comprehensive document, its long-term foreign policy goals and objectives.

     

    "A foundation principle in this policy document is that the foreign policy of the government is really an instrument for the achievement of its domestic policy. The foreign policy recognizes the need to form alliances with a number of countries for strategic reasons," said Minister of State in the Ministry of Finance, Sustainable Development, Information and Technology, Sen. the Hon. Nigel Carty.
