BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – DESPITE the small turnout last night (June. 12) at Maynard’s Park for Green Valley’s Reggae and Soca Band-O-Rama Explosion, soca sensation Pumpa gave an energetic performance for over some two hours.

The show was originally scheduled for 8:00 p.m. but did not begin until 12:50 and saw a young rapper named Flock Fresco first taking the stage.

Music was juggled by Freedom Sounds early in the night and was later taken over by Triple S –Sweet Sister Sensia.

The two lovely ladies of Dymanzed then took the stage and belted out a few of their popular songs. They were followed by ‘White Sheet’ singer Nicha B.

Pumpa, who was the main act for the night, performed some songs of his own and also a number of soca hits including ‘Nar Let Go’, ‘One More Wine’ and ‘Wutless’.

Although the attendance was sparse, Pumpa’s energetic performance kept the hard-court in up-tempo giving patrons their monies’ worth.

A number of artistes including the Nu Vybes Band, who were scheduled to perform did not take the stage even though they were present. The event ended sometime after 3:00 a.m.

The 15th Annual Green Valley Festival will conclude later today with the Parade of Troupes through the streets of Cayon.
