| Chad "Sucky" Benjamin |
A leading member of the popular local soca group, d'Vybz Band, has been hospitalized after sustaining injuries in a motor accident on Friday 8th June, 2007.
According to the band's management, Mr. Chad "Sucky" Benjamin, the bass-man and vocalist of the group, was injured in the accident between 6:30am-7:00am, while traveling along Old Road Bay, on his way to Basseterre.
The vehicle in which Mr. Benjamin was traveling is said to have developed a skid in wet road conditions, resulting in the car falling into the Old Road Bay. Benjamin was able to climb back onto the main road and called for assistance.
Benjamin who was the only occupant of the vehicle has been treated at the Joseph N France Hospital and is being prepared to be flown overseas for possible additional medical attention.
The family of the well known musician, along with his band members wishes to thank all those who have so far showed their support at this difficult time.
