Police are investigating two (2) shooting incidents that occurred within Basseterre and Conaree areas.

At approximately 12:30 a.m. on Saturday 9^th June 2007, officers responded to a report that a man had been shot in the Village area. Investigations revealed that a twenty-five (25) year old male of the St. Johnson Village area was shot by a lone gunman. He was treated for his injuries at the J.N.F. General Hospital where he is listed as being in stable condition.

Also on Saturday 9^th June 2007 at approximately 11:45 a.m., officer responded to a reported that a man had been shot in the Conaree Village area. Investigations revealed that a twenty-seven (27) year old male of the said area was shot by a lone gunman. He was subsequently transport to the J.N.F. General Hospital by the E.M.S. for treatment of his injuries.
