Several members of the corporate community asserted their partnerships with the St. Kitts Music Festival Committee with the presentation of their sponsorship cheques during a brief ceremony at the new Warner Park stadium, site for the 11th annual St. Kitts Music Festival, on Tuesday morning, June 12th.
Cable and Wireless, the principal sponsor of the festival, presented their cheque of EC $270,000, to the Music Festival Committee. Mrs. Laverne Caines, the Vice President of Corporate Communications for the company, handed over the cheque.
She indicated that the partnership between her company and the St. Kitts Music Festival is a definite blend of fun and excitement and it only reaffirms the confidence Cable and Wireless has in the St. Kitts Music Festival, which is one of the premier festivals in the region.
In response to Cable and Wireless' generosity, Mr. Farron Lawrence, Co-Chairman of the St. Kitts Music Festival Committee, said the partnership exemplifies the drive to improve the festival's product and is testimony to the Cable and Wireless' belief that they have invested in a quality product.

Tropical Shipping and Carib Beer also cemented their financial partnerships with the St. Kitts Music Festival. Bernie Greaux, Island Manager for Tropical Shipping handed over the cheque to Mr. Lawrence, while Mark Wilkin, Managing Director for Carib Breweries (St. Kitts Ltd.), PROVIDERS OF Carib Beer, made the donation on behalf of his company.
Both companies have been partners with the St. Kitts Music Festival since its inception and have constantly increased their financial support, again testimony to the quality of the event.
Both companies expressed delight at being partners with the St. Kitts Music Festival and noted that it was delightful to see the festival grow from strength to strength.
Carib Beer is the official sponsor for the festival, while Tropical Shipping is the official shipper.
