    (CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS) “Nevis is a tranquil, outstanding, high-end destinationwith tremendouspotential to provide themost distinguished client, a vacation that will last a lifetime,” says, Premier of Nevis, the Honourable Joseph Parry. Mr Parry made the statement at the recent Caribbean Tourism Week – Media Marketplace activity on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at the Marriott Marquis in New York.

    Premier Parry was joined at the Nevis booth by the Director of Tourism –Nevis, Ms. Helen Kidd, Yvette Jackman and Angelique France from the Nevis Tourism Authority, Advisor to the Premier Mr. Llewellyn Parris and Margie Benzinger from the Public Relations office in Miami which markets Nevis in the United States .

     

     
    Mr. Parry spoke to numerous journalists from various media houses such as The Heartbeat news, Conde Nast Traveller, Island Radio, Carib New York Newspaper, The Green Magazine, CaribVision, The Travel Magazine, The New York Daily News and a number of other outlets.
     
    He told journalists who visited the Nevis table that in addition to the “Five- Star” Four Seasons Resort in Nevis, there will soon be a Starwood property on the island named “W’ Hotel, which also attracts the high-end clientele which Nevis is accustomed too.
     
    “The “W” Hotel will be completed and ready for business in a few short years and we, the people of Nevis, look forward to a great relationship and full occupancy of this facility on a regular basis”, said Mr. Parry.  ~~Adz:Right~~
     
     
     A number of other Caribbean countries and hotels were fully represented such as Antigua, Anguilla, Barbados, The Hermitage in Nevis, Belize, Cayman Islands, Jamaica, The Bahamas, St.Kitts, United States Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Grenada, St.Vincent and the Grenadines, Haiti and a host of other Caribbean destinations.
     
    “I really enjoyed the Media coverage and Marketplace activity and I feel that Nevis will receive a lot of exposure because of it’s uniqueness and the fantastic coverage that this event has allowed Nevis to receive”, said Mr. Parry.
