    Basseterre, St. Kitts (June 20, 2007): The nightly concerts for the 11th Annual St. Kitts Music Festival begin on Thursday but visitors and locals looking for something to do before then have lots to choose from.
     
    The popular, free-lunch time concerts organized by the Department of Culture begin today and run up to Friday. Patrons will be treated to an exciting showcase of local talent from various music styles from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily at Independence Square.
     
    The sounds of DJ Dice will open the activity each day with music. Scheduled to perform today is eight year old Mervincia Browne on pan accompanied by her five year old sibling Phillip on drums. The two performed a few weeks ago at a recent drumming concert to much applause. The Jingle Bells String Band, Four Play Band and the Coronets Steel Orchestra are scheduled to appear. Favorites Kollision band as well as multi road march winners Nu Vybes will also take center stage today.
     
    Thursday features the Silver Stars Steel Orchestra, Pepper Ranks, Modern Image Band and D’Vybz Band. An exciting fashion show is also is scheduled.
     
    On Friday, the Chromatic String Band, Lights Out and 2006-07 Road March Champions Small Axe Band will provide live entertainment. The Grand Masters Band and several calypsonians will also perform.
      
    When the Music Festival concerts begin, thousands are expected at the Warner Park Stadium to enjoy the rhythmic presentations from top local, regional and international artistes.
     
    Those looking for somewhere to go after each nightly event can attend one of the many After Parties. B-Mobile, the primary corporate sponsor, will host has a free parties at the Circus with entertainment from local bands. Persons can also choose from events at Club Kactus or the Sound Stage.
