Digicel Group of Companies

Digicel recently opened its largest dealer store in Port Au Prince Haiti. 2,300 square foot.

KINGSTON, JAMAICA Jun 25, 2007 -- Digicel Group, the fastest-growing wireless telecommunications operator in the Caribbean and new entrant to the Central American market, today announced that it now has 1,343 dealer stores across the Caribbean, Bermuda and Central America.

In its sixth year of operation, Digicel continues to experience rapid growth and bolster regional economies by bringing hundreds of new jobs to local markets through its dealer stores. In addition to Digicel's 3,400 staff, a majority of Digicel's dealer stores are independently owned and employ more than 3,500 local residents.

In Haiti alone -- where Digicel gained 1.4 million customers after just 12 months of operation -- the company has 301 dealer stores that offer innovative services and superior customer care to the country's population of more than 8.5 million people. Later this year, Digicel plans to introduce even more dealer stores as it prepares to launch a GSM network in Suriname.

Building on Digicel's successful Digicentre store format, the company remains focused on providing superior customer care and continues to enhance in-store experiences for its customers. In El Salvador and Haiti, Digicel provides larger stores to service key locations in major cities within those markets and stimulate usage through demonstrations of Digicel's products and services. Digicel's post-pay lounges also appeal to its corporate and consumer post-pay customers.

"Digicel has a trustworthy, established brand because it values and respects its business partners and customers while holding itself accountable to higher standards of business practice," said Bernard Henri, CEO of FIMI Wireless, a Digicel dealer partner. "The company proved its commitment to the Caribbean by introducing new services, great customer care and significant involvement in the community. I am proud to be associated with a forward-looking company that helps improve the quality of life across the Caribbean."

In 2006, Digicel increased its customer base by 144 percent to more than 4.7 million customers. The company continues to experience tremendous growth with recent launches in El Salvador and Guyana. A launch in Suriname is planned for later this year. To maintain this expansion, Digicel works closely with its dealer partners to meet the evolving needs of its customers.

"Our dealer partners serve as ambassadors of the Digicel brand," said Ben Atherton, Digicel Group Marketing Director. "We are pleased to work with so many dedicated dealers across the region, and we look forward to welcoming our newest dealers and customers in El Salvador and Guyana."
