| Sean "Handsome" Phillip |
On Sunday 24th June 2007, wanted fugitive Sean “Handsome” Phillip was apprehended after a firefight with officers of the Joint Patrol Unit.
Phillip was found in an abandoned building in the Newtown area and when officers identified themselves he fired a weapon at them. The officers responded in self defense and Phillip sustained injuries to his body. The officers then took him to the J.N.F. General Hospital where he is being detained and treated for his injuries.
A warrant for the arrest of Phillip has been in existence since March 2007. On Monday 25th June 2007, Phillip was formally arrested and charged with the offence of “Shooting at with Intent” committed on 27th March 2007 at Manchester Avenue, Basseterre.
The following persons were arrested and charged between 22nd and 24th June 2007;
· Urban Penny of Upper Thibou Avenue was charged with the offence of “Carrying abroad an offensive weapon” to wit a knife, committed on 22nd June 2007.~~Adz:Right~~
· A fifteen-year-old male of Lime Kiln Project was charged with the offence of ”Making use of Threatening Language” and “Assaulting a Police Officer while in the execution of his duty” committed on 22nd June 2007.
· Adrian Browne of Dorset Village was charged with two (2) counts of “Larceny” of a motor scooter committed on 12th and 13th August at Frigate Bay and on 6th November 2006 .
