    Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred in the St. Johnson Village area at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Thursday 28th June 2007. A forty-two year old male of the Newton Ground area was shot several times when two masked men entered the shop where the victim was and started shooting. The victim is listed as being in stable condition at the J.N.F. General Hospital.

     

     

     

    Any person(s) with information relevant to the investigation of this report is asked to please contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 465-2241 Ext 220 / 230 / 236 and they can do so anonymously.

    The victim suffered minor cuts and bruises while trying to escape the assailant who at the time wore a mask and was armed with a knife. Charges will be preferred against Richards at a later time pending further investigations.

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    At approximately 5:00 p.m. on Thursday 28th June 2007, an officer of the Royal St.

     

    Christopher and Nevis Police Force apprehended a man who had assaulted a businessman in the Industrial Park area. The officer who was in the area was stopped by the victim who related his story and eventually the officer apprehended twenty (20) year old Rayjorn Richards of St. Pauls Village who had a knife and mask in his possession.
