The following persons were arrested and charged between 6th and 8th July 2007;
· Laughton Liburd of Lower Monkey Hill was charged with the offence of “Possession of a Controlled Drug” to wit cannabis, committed on 6th July 2007.
· Crispen Crossley of Fort Thomas Road was charged with the offences of “Making use of Indecent Language” and “Obstruction” committed on 6th July 2007. Crossley was also charged with the offence of “Wounding” committed on 24th April 2007.
· Kirk Hobson of Stapleton Village was charged with the offence of “Obstruction” committed on 6th July 2007.
· Johnny Rawlins of Irish Town Bay Road was charged with the offence of “Larceny” of a British Passport.
· Alex Wilson of Phillips’ was charged with the offence of “Possession of a Controlled Drug” to wit cannabis, committed on 6th July 2007 at St. Pauls.
· Clive Edwards of Taylors Village was charged with the offence of “Threat to Kill” committed on 7th July 2007.
· Karon Drew of John England Village was charged with the offences of “Possession of a Controlled Drug” to wit cannabis, and “Carrying Abroad and Offensive Weapon” to wit a pair of scissors committed on 8th July 2007 at Basseterre.
· Shimon Decosta and Kimo Charles of Upper Cayon and a seventeen-year-old female of Newtown, Basseterre were charged with the offence of “Possession of a Controlled Drug” to wit cannabis, committed on 8th July 2007 at Cayon.
· A fifteen-year-old-male of The Alley, Sandy Point was charged with the offences of “Resisting Arrest”, “Battery on a Police Officer” “Escaping lawful Custody” committed on 5th July 2007 at The Alley, Sandy Point.
· Trevor Mulraine of Cole Hill, Nevis was charged with the offence of “Larceny” committed on 1st July 2007 at Pinney’s, Nevis.
· Montclair Burke of Prickley Pear Alley was charged with the offence of “Possession of a Controlled Drug” to wit cannabis, committed on 7th July 2007 at Charlestown, Nevis.
· Chase Hamilton of Hanley Road, Nevis was charged with the offences of “Possession of a Controlled Drug” to wit cannabis, and “Carrying Abroad and Offensive Weapon” committed on 7th July 2007 at Bath Village, Nevis.
At the Magistrate Court on Friday 6th July 2007, Milton “Shoeshine” Phipps of Newtown was charged with the offences offence “Larceny” and “Possession of a Controlled Drug” to wit cannabis plead guilty to the charges. He was subsequently convicted and sentenced to serve six (6) weeks imprisonment for each charge with sentences to run consecutively. The offences were committed on 2nd July 2007 at the City Drug Store.
