What are you looking forward to most about Culturama?

Conrad Niah Liburd - “I am actually looking forward to the Food Fair as that is always my specialty for the Culturama season. This is because I like to eat and I like to eat cultural foods and at a Food Fair you can expect to see things that you do not normally see in the restaurants. There are more cultural indigenous foods and that is what I am looking for so I hope that when I go out there I can get a good bottle of Sarsaparilla. I personally don’t eat meat but for those persons out there who do there is goat water and so on. For me I want ital and the biggest ground provisions coming out of the soil of Nevis. Culturama is something good that we should try to preserve to really try to enhance our heritage.”

Augustus Thomas - “I am looking forward to seeing new faces and the people around enjoying themselves and having a good time. My favorite show is the Calypso Show because you get to hear different ideas on what the people see on the street and speak about.”
Terrance Tyson - “I am just looking forward to meeting my old friends that come home for Culturama. I haven’t been to a show in a while but this year I plan to go to a couple shows. I normally stay home but this year I plan to go see the Caribbean Queen Show as well as the Mr. Kool Show. The Mr. Kool Show attracted me because that guy in Cotton Ground who sells coconut jelly is taking part and I know he likes to talk a lot of nonsense, so I am interested in what his talent would be. Also, I just enjoy Queen Shows in general and this year I plan to go out and meet people.

E.G. aka Rumplestilskin - “I think that Culturama has gotten very boring, very drab and very political when it is supposed to be fun. It is not fun anymore and the only thing that I am looking forward to is when it finishes, then we can all get back to life as normal.”
