BASSETERRE St. Kitts, June 29th 2011 - As the flame dims on the 2011 St. Kitts Music festival, the fire is ignited on another weekend of music and dancing. This time, it’s the Fireflies Dance School, set to blaze the stage of the Sir Cecil Jacobs Auditorium this Sunday Evening. The Fireflies Dance School has for sometime been hard at work preparing for their sixth annual dance recital, entitled “PLAYTIME”.
The evening will highlight dance, song and poetry all related to playing games and having fun.
For this special dance recital, several guest artistes will be joining the 60 Fireflies on stage. Also performing will be the popular Children’s Dance Theatre, the CFBC Dance Ensemble, the Tucker –Clarke primary’s Miss Virtues 2010-2011, the Maurice Hiller Memorial’s 2011 Rainbow pageant winner, the 2011 Clash of the High School’s champions, female songbirds Even3, poet Samal Duggins and a brand new dance company, Creative Sole.
The Director of the Fireflies Dance School, Miss Heidi Slack, has promised that PLAYTIME will feature a wide array of pieces aimed to entertain, amuse, cause to reminisce and awaken the inner child in all of us. After all, we don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.
The Sir Cecil Jacobs Auditorium is the venue for this event scheduled to be held on Sunday July 3rd at 5pm.
