Charlestown, Nevis, 18 July 2007 – This weekend the country comes alive with colour, creativity and designer splendor as Digicel presents the Nevis Fashion Weekend.
The event, the first of its kind on Nevis is anticipated to be highly attended and will feature fashions from celebrated Kittitian and Nevisian designers as well as select pieces from international and regional designers.
Digicel Country Manager, Donovan White says, “I am extremely pleased that Digicel has been able to produce another first on the island, this fashion weekend is a celebration of culture and people and we are happy to be able to partner with the organizers to deliver this show piece of fashion and style.”
Since entering the twin island federation’s telecommunications market, Digicel has ensured that the interests of Nevisians are considered along every step of the way. Among the firsts that the company has been able facilitate, are the opening of a Digicel outlet on island, the endorsement of two Nevisians as faces of Digicel, and most recently, the commitment of $100,000 to the premier fund. The fund is intended to boost local youth and communities through sport.

The Nevis Fashion Weekend will showcase the abundance of talent that we have here and in the Caribbean. The exciting and glamourous weekend begins on Thursday 19th July with a VIP Cocktail and Dance then on Friday 20th a Press conference detailing all the events of the weekend will be given at the Old Manor Hotel. In addition to the press conference on Friday, there will also be a motorcade throughout Charlestown. The main event, the fashion show extravaganza will be held at The Old Manor Hotel at 8:30pm.
